CONVERSATION ANALYSIS OF WHATSAPP GRADUATE GROUP CHAT IN MARDAN

Numerous studies have been conducted on conversation analysis in various contexts, including online chats, online interactions, graph-based conversation analysis on social media, communication on social networking sites, and social media texts as research methods. Although Yahoo Chat has also been examined in previous research, this article specifically focuses on Paul Drew’s approach to conversation analysis of WhatsApp chats. The study aims to analyze WhatsApp conversations among graduate students. It seeks to provide insight into how conversations on social media platforms can be analyzed by examining the conversational sequences in WhatsApp chats among graduate students, as well as the linguistic features employed in their interactions.
