Abstract

From the very beginning, women's problems have been presented in Urdu novels from different angles. The gradual changes that have taken place in human society due to the effects of modern education are also reflected in the novels. The clash of civilizations and the patterns of modern lifestyle are also seen. Domestic accidents and incidents and the real experiences of housewives are also an important part of the novel. Deputy Nazir Ahmed was the most aware of the need and importance of women's reform among his contemporaries. He was seeing that even the women class was not safe from the moral degradation and social degradation of the feudal and landlord era. Therefore, he tried to find the causes of their degradation and their problems. Rashid Ul-Khairi also painfully reflected the atrocities and injustices that were perpetrated on women in society in his novels. He emphasized the education of women in most of his novels. He presented domestic complications and the relationship between men and women prominently in his novels. Women's problems are also clearly visible in Krishna Chander's novel 'Shikast'. Through his character 'Vanti', the social status of women is clearly visible to a large extent. He presented the social problems of traditional women through Vanti. After the middle of the twentieth century, there was a surge in support for women, which remained until the end of the century. Even in the novels being written in the twenty-first century, the problems faced by women have been well raised.
