Abstract

In 21st Century Up to two hundred novels have been written in Urdu till now. Most of the novels have shown significant progress in the field of defeat of civilized values and scientific inventions. The novels of this era have covered the fading traces of civilization, the crumbling and dying economy, the aversion to religion, the increasing bribery in government and private departments, the crumbling tradition of the joint family system, the widespread destruction due to drugs, sexual promiscuity, the obsessive greed for what is right and what is wrong to earn wealth, the declining and deteriorating morality and promiscuity of young boys and girls, the destruction of sectarianism and the conditions of the new generation wandering in search of their roots. Modern man has been badly trapped in the spread of the Internet and its swindling business. In this context, many novelists have made the defeat of civilized values the subject of their novels.
