Abstract

Thus, several important books on Corona prose came to the fore, which require separate time and space to be mentioned in detail. However, a new edition of Shamsur Rehman Farooqi’s novel Kai Chand Thay Sar-e-Asmaan appeared in the market. Mera Dagestan also received a new look. All three books were published by Book Corner, Jhelum. Toward the end of the year, two books by the renowned writer and travel author Mustansar Hussain Tarar were released, including his two novellas Roop Bahroop and Shehr Khali Kocha Khali, which immediately attracted attention. These books were published by Sang-e-Meel Publications, which undertook the responsibility of publishing several important works during the year. Tarar Sahib was also honored with the Josh Award this year. Private television channels, which had largely become indifferent to writers and literature, also reached out to Tarar Sahib in search of meaningful content, allowing viewers to access quality visual material. A television interview with Tarar Sahib also sparked a literary controversy; nevertheless, it is satisfying that literature and writers are once again being discussed on electronic media.
