AN ANALYSIS OF THE THEME OF WOMENEMPOWERMENT IN THE DRAMA SAAR-E-RAHH BYADEEL RAZZAQ

This research is mainly based on women empowerment and acknowledgement of their rights and the issues that women face do not exist only in our society but all across the world. This research study aims to highlight the struggle of women of every age in our society. To accomplish this goal, the researcher has collected the data from a renowned Drama Serial “Sar e Rah” to analyze the issues that are highlighted in the drama. Every woman character in this drama portrays how women face hurdles in their daily life. The drama overall discusses the idea of embracing change and flying high by losing all the weight for the women of Pakistan. It also gives a moral lesson about gender discrimination, where the female characters break the stereotypes. The drama is a true reflection of our society. Under the descriptive qualitative methodology the researcher has examined the characters of this drama to highlight the specific representation of women of our society. The focus of the study is to shed light on how a women can overcome the fears of stepping out into the world.
